This project was so much fun. It took a total of two years to complete the inside from start to finish.

Mr. Fichera purchased his home after relocating from LA. He knew he wanted a designer, and I was lucky enough to be that for him. We took our time and completed the house room by room. Purchasing, installing and then waiting until he was ready to move to the next.
We began with the Livingroom/Family Room. Since he had no furniture when he moved here, it was a must to get it something installed as soon s possible. Starting with the sofa, we designed the space to fit his needs. Mr. Fichera travels for work. And having a home he could unwind in was his top priority. He said ” I want a couch I can fall asleep on while watching television, something comfy, something that will fit my height.” Yes he is tall. So finding a sofa with a deep seat was our goal. I always say, ” Spend money on the items you spend the most time on.” For this client it was his sofa and his bed. The sofa was the one thing he went to the showroom to sit on. He wanted to make sure he would like it and he did.

With no desire of accent colors I choose a masculine color, forest green. We used it as our base throughout the house. Two accent walls. One in the master and one in the dining room/ nook area. We slowly made our way though the home. Designing the Dining room/ Nook as our final piece to the project, well that and accessories to pull it all together.

Custom Mirrors
I couldn’t have asked for a better client. He allowed me to design his home from top to bottom, only wanting to be involved in the final approval process. With his freedom the design poured out like water and developed naturally. Incorporating natural colors paired with wood elements, we were able to design a masculine, yet warmed and balanced design that he can enjoy everyday. Our next phase, the backyard. Stay tuned for the final design reveal.
