Fichera Home Design
This project was so much fun. It took a total of two years to complete the inside from start to finish. Mr. Fichera purchased his home after relocation from LA. He knew he wanted a designer, and I was lucky enough to do that for him. We took our time and completed the house room by room. Purchasing, installing and then waiting until he was ready to move to the next.
I couldn’t have asked for a better client. He allowed me to design his home from top to bottom, only wanting to be involved in the final approval process. With his freedom the design poured out like water and developed naturally. Incorporating natural colors paired with wood elements, we were able to design a masculine, yet warmed and balanced design that he can enjoy everyday. Our next phase, the backyard. Stay tuned for the final design reveal.
Decker Home Remodel
The Decker’s Remodel was one of my projects. At the beginning they just wanted new paint, floors, updated bathrooms and a walk-in closet. We transformed their 3 bedroom, 2 bath and a den, into the Decker’s forever home. By splitting the third bedroom we were able to expand the master bathroom and build a walk-in closet of their dreams.
By the end of the project the Decker’s upgraded their whole home minus the kitchen (which they completed 3 years prior). I enjoyed working with them, I even gave birth to my Daughter during their project, Which we all have as a kept sake of their journey.
The Bachelor’s Condo
The Bachelors Condo was a project to remember. My client was an unusually tall man 6′-9″ to be exact. His biggest complaint was that his existing sofa was uncomfortable and it was. The seat was too short for someone that tall. So one focus during the design process was to incorporate a sofa that will accommodate his height comfortability. With that being said, it meant we needed a sofa deeper than the standard seat. With the deeper seat came another hurdle to jumper over, getting it through the front door. We couldn’t, so we pulled it over the balcony. LOL. You always remember the strange projects.
Since my client wasn’t a true bachelor, our other focus was turning his condo into a welcoming space this girlfriend could enjoy during her visits. With that in mind we decided to bring the dining area out of the kitchen and into the great room. By doing this, we created a more inviting setup that gave the apartment great flow and a great conversation setup to entertain his company.
Yogi Home Remodel
Yogi Chan is a client to remember. He and his family moved here from the east coast to start a new dental practice. They decided to move into the house they owned and used as a rental property. The property 1s 3,000 square feet. I has great bones and amazing architectural details, it just needs an update. Although we did update the paint throughout , new flooring in the entry and hallway of the first level, new wood floors on the stairs and the entire second floor and give both fireplaces a face lift. Our main focus was the master bathroom.
We took the master bathroom down to the studs, removed all cabinets, flooring and soffits. We expanded the master shower, installed floor to wall tile, and indulged in a freestanding tub. The end result was amazing. Yogi loved the upgrades so much we are working on updating the exterior of his home as well. Another happy client for the books.
